Luma is looking for a full-time staff Accountant to oversee all accounting operations of a privately-held, global, multi-entity media company. The role will report directly to the Finance & Operations Lead with a dotted line to the COO. The ideal candidate for this role is independent, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
Maintain general ledger across multiple entities, including AP / AR entries, JE uploads, inter-company cross charges, bank reconciliations and balance sheet managementOversee Los Angeles-based AP process, including invoice intake and entry into GL; facilitate payment via transfer and weekly check runsManage Australian entity payables and account balances via remote banking website and regular reporting from Melbourne-based operations teamRun bi-weekly payroll process for US-based employeesInvoice customers per contract invoice schedules and follow-up on outstanding AR as necessaryManage employee credit card applications, charges, and reportingPrepare month-end management reporting for delivery to Finance Lead, COO and CEOPrepare quarterly and annual external reporting for debt management and tax purposesAssist with operational and facilities processes as neededPerform such other accounting, financial or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time
Accounting degree or equivalent experience; CPA preferred3+ years’ experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environmentExperience with Sage Intacct and ADP Workforce Now a plusProficient in Microsoft ExcelSolid time management and organizational skillsHighly detail-oriented a mustExcellent communication skillsExtremely proactive and independent
