Today, the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts announced the nominees for the 2022 Technical Craft award categories. Luma is excited to announce that our studio has earned two nominations under the Best Visual Effects and Animation category for Elvis and Spider-Man: No Way Home. For Baz Luhrmann's Elvis, Luma created bespoke invisible effects to recreate the iconic locations of Graceland and the Hollywood sign. Luma delivered two action packed sequences for Spider-Man: No Way Home, including the Opening Swing sequence through NYC and the Powerline Corridor sequence. We're proud to be nominated alongside truly exceptional work in this category. Congrats to our incredible crew who each played a role in bringing these outstanding films to life.

Winners in this category will be announced at the 2022 AACTA Industry Awards in Sydney on December 5, 2022.
