While our Melbourne crew closed down the NGV to have a private viewing of the MoMA collection- an evening perfectly fit for the winter season, our LA crew celebrated the wrap of Ant-Man and The Wasp and Mary Poppins Returns in a very different way.

We thought, "what better way to embrace the never-ending heatwave in LA then to take our whole crew and their loved ones to Catalina Island?" Our Digital Effects Sup, Justin Johnson, probably felt differently after winning the worst sunburn contest.

Our day on the sunny island was filled with plenty of activities like life-size beer pong (yes this is a real thing), volleyball, spike ball, falconry (yes this is also a real thing) and just pure hangs on the beach.

Obviously we couldn't leave the island without taking the obligatory couple sunset photo.

All in all, it was a beautiful and memorable day celebrating our crew and their tremendous work this year!
